R. Todd Bennett
Todd Bennett is a highly accomplished executive with experience leading, building and growing a variety of businesses, including successful private equity exits. Todd’s near three decades of leadership in industry, strategy consulting and executive search have given him true acumen in the areas of leadership, strategy, growth, acquisitions, finance and client service.
Prior to founding R. Todd Bennett Retained Executive Search, Todd was CEO of two large privately held transportation and logistics companies. This hands-on experience along with his track record of consistent and quantifiable accomplishment make him extremely qualified to help companies build effective leadership teams. Todd was an executive with a history of creating and executing strategies that increased enterprise value, improved customer relations, reduced operating costs, and led to successful exits. His last two operating roles led to exit opportunities of 7X and 8X EBITDA, 50% higher than industry norms.
Todd’s early career was spent in the consulting industry. He became a partner at Mercer Oliver Wyman, and also spent four years at technology leader Accenture. He has led high value strategy consulting engagements on four continents and has created billions of dollars of value for a global list of clients. He began his career at KPMG and spent time in the finance organization of The BNSF Railway.
Todd earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany, is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Blanca Hernandez McCarthy
Blanca joined R. Todd Bennett Retained Executive Search in 2016 and has been a steady member of the consulting team ever since. She focuses her efforts on project research and conducting second-round interviews. Her easy-going style and friendly demeanor garner high marks from candidates. She is a highly effective communicator and builds a strong rapport with everyone from client representatives to the bevy of professionals she speaks with daily. Blanca’s favorite aspect of being an executive search consultant is working with candidates as they explore exciting new career opportunities.
She has had great success sourcing candidates across a wide variety of roles and industries including Chief Financial Officers, Vice Presidents of Operations, Terminal Managers, and more. Blanca executes our unique method of candidate research to generate a slate of highly qualified professionals. Her true strength comes from employing a competency-based interview approach to identify the best available candidates for each distinct client role.
Blanca consistently exceeds client expectations and always goes the extra mile to accommodate a candidate's needs. She is a true master at her craft. Prior to joining Executive Search, Blanca worked in event management and communications for global consulting giant Accenture, JP Morgan, as well as Southern Air Transport.
Blanca graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Liberal Arts. She is a Miami native and now resides in Chicago with her husband Rob and their daughter Sophia.
Kylie White
Kylie joined R. Todd Bennett Retained Executive Search in 2020, as an Administrative and Personal Assistant. In her initial role, Kylie provided comprehensive support directly to Todd Bennett, lending assistance with administrative responsibilities, performing engagement research, and occasionally acting as an Uber. Frequently, Kylie participated in interviews, client meetings, and a multitude of client-oriented activities.
As time progressed, Kylie's inclination towards a career in recruiting became evident. She began training in candidate research and interview preparation with passion and vigor rarely seen. Soon after, Kylie commenced conducting candidate interviews herself. Her exceptional talent and high aptitude for the demands of recruiting were apparent from the outset.
Her primary focus now rests on overseeing managerial-level engagements, in addition to conducting candidate research and leading second-round interviews for Vice President and C-Level searches. Kylie has experience well beyond her years and has created a tremendous amount of value for her clients. Her exposure to nearly every functional role has allowed a rapid education and depth of understanding that usually takes a decade or more to acquire.
Kylie epitomizes an impassioned and driven recruiter, possessing a strong background in client service. She is quickly becoming known for her hands-on methodology and commitment to her clients. It is innate in Kylie that clients are the cornerstone of success. Afterall, they pay the bills! She prides herself on her in-depth interview process which enables her to translate better to her clients the nuances about each candidate to lead to the right hire. In her free time, Kylie enjoys many outdoor activities like rock climbing, cycling, and hiking.
